Fit Solutions has a team of qualified Exercise Physiologists whose primary role is to design and implement specialised programs dealing with chronic disease and injury.
We help prevent, treat and manage various chronic and complex medical conditions, which may include:
- Diabetes (Type I, Type II, Pre and Gestational)
- Cardiovascular Disease
- Arthritis
- Osteoporosis
- Obesity
- Depression / PTSD
- Chronic Respiratory Disease / Asthma
- Musculoskeletal Injury Rehabilitation / Post Surgery
- Back & Neck Pain
- Occupational Injury / Work Conditioning
At Fit Solutions, every client will be individually assessed and a program will be designed around their needs and any instructions or guidelines given from any referrals.
We offer a variety of training to perfectly suit the needs of individuals which includes 1-on-1, small/private groups and group sessions.
Individuals do not require a referral to attend, however you may be entitled to one through your GP.
Referral pathways can include Medicare's Enhanced Primary Care Plans (EPCP) or Team Care Arrangements as well through Medicare's Type II Diabetic Group Services. Patient's referred through these Medicare items will be bulk billed with no out of pocket expenses.
Veterans may be referred to us through the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) through the use of a D904 referral form. Veterans with white DVA cards can only be treated for their nominated injury, however, veteran's who hold gold DVA cards, are able to see us for any reason where physical activity will be beneficial to the individual.
We are registered with Workcover QLD and other self insuring companies. Individuals require a referral from their treating Doctor and we are required to complete a Provider Management Plan (PMP) requesting treatment. Once we have gained approval, we will be able to assist in providing a return to work conditioning program.
We are registered with all Private Health Funds that recognise Exercise Physiologists, which may entitle individuals to a rebate for our services. Please check with your individual Health Fund as it will depend on your cover.
Many individuals would benefit from an exercise intervention with an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, which may include:
- Individuals with a history of sedentary behaviour
- Individuals who have difficulty maintaining motivation and exercise adherence
- Individuals who have physical restrictions or mobility issues
- Individuals who have co-morbid conditions
Undertaking a regular health and fitness program can provide significant health benefits and improve your quality of care."
